Putting this advert together needed some thought to the point I wanted to put across. Stationary can become stale after remaining the same for years. We do not do "good" stationary, we do "super" stationary. This led to a superhero theme. After doing up a paper aeroplane the folds suggested the different areas within stationary. This also reinforced the superhero theme. Thinking of concepts for backgrounds the superhero theme led me to visualising the backgrounds used in old superhero cartoons. Now I had a finished advert.

John from Funk It wanted an advert produced quickly for "My Waterford" magazine. As it was a full page ad it needed to say more visually about the range of products on sale. The outcome speaks for itself and provided strong exposure for the business as the magazine has a monthly circulation of 40,000 readers throughout Waterford city and county.

Derek, from Madrid based blancatransfer contacted us through Andy Keane from Blueroom Studios. Derek wanted a press pack and cd cover designed for the bands upcoming album release. Suggestions from the client normally dictate the direction of the artwork. With the addition of music in the mix careful consideration is given to the audience it is aimed at. Both the cd jacket and press pack jacket are based on each other for consistency.

A sample logo for Clonmel. When Clonmel is mentioned in conversation the first image to spring to mind for locals and visitors alike is the West Gate. This perception should be changed. The West Gate as it is today was put in place in the 1830's. The Main Guard, completed in the 1670's has had a rich history including being used to entertain James II in 1869, being the town's Assize Court and stands as the oldest Palatinate Court in the country. Being in the heart of Clonmel you could call it the heart of Clonmel.

The client wanted a A3 poster and a A5 advert to promote a fancy dress night Halloween night. Getting someone to pose in make up and photograph throws up cost, time and light problems. These were eliminated using a cartoon character.
